Welcome to the official policies page with information on all things regarding exchanges, returns, and refunds.

 

Are you looking to place an order and just want to know "what if...?"

If this is the case, we want you to know that many of our items are "made to order" which means we create a piece especially for you. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you have about size or fit before you place your order. We want you to feel confident that you will receive the perfect thing so that you won't need to reference the rest of our return policies later. Together we can make sure we get it right the first time!

Are you looking for information after you've made or received a purchase?

Our return policy lasts for 30 days after delivery. If 30 days have gone by since you've received your items, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Gift cards are not returnable.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be complete, unused, in the same condition you received it, and in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to us without contacting us first. The best way to contact us is by emailing jenna@tinkercompany.com or through our contact form on this website since we cannot guarantee we will see comments or messages sent through social media. Additionally, please read the return shipping information outlined below under the "Shipping" section.


Exchanges:
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged at the time you receive them. If your item was damaged in shipping, please retain all of the packing and shipping materials and send us an email at jenna@tinkercompany.com immediately so we can file a claim and provide you with further instructions.

If you need to exchange an item for a different size or require modifications, please send us an email at jenna@tinkercompany.com to discuss your options.


Gifts:
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and was shipped directly to you, you will receive a store credit for the value of the item at the time of purchase. Once the returned item is received, you will receive a gift card.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we are required to refund the original purchaser and the gift giver will find out about your return.

The item must be complete, unused, in the same condition you received it, and in the original packaging.

Sale items:

Only regular priced items may be refunded; sale items cannot be refunded.


Refunds:
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Please note: There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you haven’t received a refund after 10 business days, first check your bank account or credit card activity again or contact your bank or credit card company to see if there are any pending transactions that are not yet officially posted.

Shipping:

We ship our items using an insured carrier with tracking services. Typical shipping times are between 1-5 days for the contiguous United States. International shipping times vary by destination.

In the event you need to return or exchange your item, contact us at jenna@tinkercompany.com so that we may provide details on how to do so safely and efficiently.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of original shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are shipping an item over $50, you must use a trackable shipping service and purchase shipping insurance. Without this, we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
